Handmade Glycerine Soap is a true delight, with the varieties and variations limited only to the Soapmakers imagination. Cute embeds of stars and hearts, animals, swirls and curls, glitter, shimmer and sparkle all add to the finish of an ultimately better bar of soap. We have spent years perfecting the art of handcrafted soap and we are proud to offer them for sale to the public. Each handmade loaf can take up to a week to fully prepare ready for sale and is a true labour of love.

Glycerine is a natural humectant and hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs and draws moisture from the air which makes glycerine soap a highly prized cosmetic! This is a great property because it means that your skin gets continuous moisture, not limited to what is in the soap. Glycerine soap also allows the skin to breathe freely. Recent studies have also found that Glycerine may have therapeutic properties. Glycerine soap is especially good for sensitive and delicate skin, and for children.

Glycerine is one of the natural products of a soap making process which also means it is 100% vegetable based. However, since it is a high quality by-product, large scale soap manufacturers typically extract it from the soap by adding salts and distilling the resulting phase. They then use it in more expensive premium skin care products. We purchase this 'raw' glycerine soap from them, add in essential and fragrance oils, butters, botanics and base oils to make a skin treat worth shouting about. Regular commercial soap you find in the supermarket is mass-produced and packed with preservatives- did you know that a bar of commercial soap has a life expectancy of around 10 years plus?
